The Ladies...They Love Me!!!

Every girl or woman who meets this little guy instantly falls in love! Yesterday he was getting loving from our fellow Ethiopian adopted freinds and their families, today it was from cousin Simone!! You better enjoy it while you can buddy, because when you are old enough to date, 27, your girlfreinds will have to pass the Mom exam...and there is no study guide!!

Happy Fassika!

Today is the Orthodox Easter, so to celebrate we went to Gidu and Gram's house to celebrate! Marley wore his traditional Ethiopian outfit...but it was really hot and we ended up taking of the pants, he was cute nonetheless!

AHOPE sponsorships

This isn't exactly Marley related, but I am super excited about it!! Some members on the CHSFS forum have started a sposorship and supply drive for the HIV + orphans at AHOPE in Ethiopia. I decided to throw my hat into the ring, and have already secured nearly 5 complete one-year sponsorships!!

Thanks for all of you have helped, let me know if you would like more info or are interested in making a tax-deductible donation!!

These Jammies Are Made For Walkin'

and that's just what they'll do!! Someone is groing stronger everyday and is now able to hold our hands and walk!! I can't beleive he will be walking around our house so soon...slow down little man...Mommy can't keep up!!

Momma Loves Marley

These are the original lyrics to a little song I sing to him when I put him to bed...who couldn't love this little one?? I sure do! More than I ever thought possible! In fact, I was even telling him at brunch on Sunday, that I love him more than crab legs...and for those of you who know me...that's a lot! Even Mike was inpressed!

You know, it's funny how everyone kept telling us that having Marley would completly change our lives. In some ways it has: my heart has blossomed even larger than it was, the dream project has come to fruition, I do have more things to do around the house, including waking up early, or (very rarely) in the middle of the night, etc. But in many, and wonderful, ways it hasn't: we still go out to eat a lot and take our little restaurauntuer with us, Mike and I still get to hang out every night together and watch movies (although now we rarely make it through a complete one in one night) and we even get alone time thanks to Marley's amazing ability to love being at daycare!! He is so perfect for us! I couldn't imagine having any other child!

Fun at the Pando's

We went to Ben, Heather and Julian's on Sunday night, where Marley got to play with new toys and old friends! Make me long for a backyard!!

Book Fair

We went to one of the elementary school's bookfairs this weekend, where we donated "Goodnight Moon", one of the 6 copies we have, and purchased three new books for the little guy! Strangely enough, they are about how to protect the environment...what??? Who chose those books?!?!

Go Spurs Go....

I was filming Marley in all of his cuteness and noise making when his father overtook and stole the show!! Needless to say, we had a good time watching the game of the century!!

Bathtime...

He still loves it, although he's almost too big for the sink!! No, no, slow down, Mommy isn't ready for you to graduate to the big boy bath!

Random Acts of Cuteness...

Just thought I would throw these in there!!

A Few Things You May Not Know

I love putting Marley to sleep, especially since he is so good at it now!! When I am giving him his evening "latte" (that's what I call his sippy cup of formula) I just stare at him and sing. So, I thought I would share a few things I have noticed and love!! On the middle finger of his right hand he has a big freckle where the nail meets the skin; it looks like a chocolate chip melted right there and he hasn't licked it off yet. His left nostril is the tiniest bit smaller than his right one. His eyes are so dark brown that it is nearly impossible to tell where the pupil ends and the iris (I think that's the colored part) begins. His eyelashes are so long that they touch his eyebrows when his eyes are open. He has the fainest pale birthmark under his chin, and he has really big thumb toes!! Not mention all the other million wonderful and cute things about him that you already know!

Our First Day at the Beach

Well, it was Mother's Beach at the Marina, but a beach nonetheless. He had tons of fun in the water and with his toys on the sand! I don't think I need to comment on how cute he looks in his trunks and hat!!

Marley-in-the-Box

We put his royal smiley's toys in the new "pleather" stoarage ottoman/coffee table. When we were taking them out yesterday, he kept reaching in the table...so I put him inside...and he stayed there happily for almost an hour! This kid cracks me up!! I love him so much and each day it seems to grow exponentially!! Today he was spitting at me, the fabulous lips pursed, pucker spit his father taught him, and I would violently move my head and say "oh"...he laughed hysterically, which, of course made me laugh hysterically and this went on for about 20 minutes! I love this guy!!

Hawaii Five-O

We bought this snazzy little number in Kona when we went in December after we got his referral. I think you will agree he looks quite dashing!! Magnum PI look out!!

We Can Have Naked Time

Just Some Gratuitous Pix and Video

I just had to throw in these pictures of his royal cuteness. And a breif little video of him crawling and playing with the door stopper for those of you who aren't blessed with his hilarious presence every night!!

Look Who's Standing!!

I can't believe he is already standing! Our little is so strong. If his head didn't weigh so much I think he would be able to sit up more easily! I do think he is going to skip crawling, well in the "proper" crawling fashion, and go straight to walking. In fact, while holding Michael's last night, he took three steps! He's amazing!

Timothy...

Marley cut his first tooth last week and we (well, me really) have decided to name it Timothy..in honor of the San Antonio Spur's Tim Duncan of course (they could use all the honor they can get after the beating they took from Phoenix last night...ouch). At the request of Gramma, I have captured little Timmy on film...I hope it's in focus, he's alittle protective of Timmy and doesn't like the paparazzi invading his privacy!!!

Awesome Great Aunt Jo

Has been working on this amazing quilt for Marley since right after we got our referral! She even personalized it with a dedication and the date we finally met him! I doubt these pictures do the justice this amazing peice of art deserves! Thank you, Thank you , Thank you!!!

Mom's New "Marley-Proof" Haircut

Well, my intentions were if I cut my hair a certain someone wouldn't use them as a steering device, kiss catcher or general play toy...didn't work out that way! And the other pix are just of us hanging out having fun in the bouncer!! Oh yeah, we're also working on the open mouth kissing!!! Dad, remember when I used to tryo to open mouth kiss you?? It must run in the family!!
