Barcelona

Even though we also went to Madrid, what we all enjoyed the most was Barcelona!!  Mike has wanted to go there since he became an FCB fan many years ago and I was just along for the ride, but I LOVED it!  Actually, when we first started talking about moving overseas, Barcelona was where we wanted to go, but it so hard to get a visa there...we even met with an immigration lawyer when we were there, and were VERY close to staying...but alas...we ended up in Bangkok!!

The first night we were in Barcelona, we went to this little restaurant in the Gothic Quarter where we were staying.  To say the people there were awesome, would be a gross understatement!!

They let Marley go into the kitchen and make his own creme brulle dessert!

The next day Mike was able to live out one of his lifelong dreams of going to an FC Barcelona game.  Leo Messi did not play, but we were inches from his car when he drove into the stadium parking lot, and he was there to receive his Golden Boot award, so that was pretty cool.  The people at the game were so passionate about it...everything I thought it

La Segrada Familia was breathtaking!!

I really need to get me one of these!!

More amazing architecture!

I love this photo it will be framed in our new house in Doha!!

And probably this one too!!

We did a tour of the FC Barcelona museum and Camp Nou, the stadium.  The boys were a little excited to say the least!

This is Marley with his game face on!  We were on our way to the game.  There was a certain energy in the air in Barcelona and after the win the city was alive.  I am absolutely in love with Barcelona and so happy that our new life will provide us with an opportunity to live wherever we want, and summer wherever we want...I imagine I will want to spend a lot more time in Barca!!

We decided to go back to the restaurant where we went the first night because the people were just so amazing!  I wish I could remember the name of it, but I definitely want to go back and totally remember where it is.  I don't know what it is about Barcelona, but I loved it!!

Barcelona, this is not good bye...only farewell for now.  The Marcos family fell in love with your football team years ago and the love affair will continue with your city, your people, your magic for a lifetime!
