Jan called me at school this morning to let us know that our case will be heard on Monday, February 4. Hopefully we will make it through on the first round!! After our case makes it through we should expect to get the birth certificate 2-3 weeks later and then travel will be 3-4 weeks after that!! That would put us in Ethiopia anywhere between March 6-27. With our taking a few weeks in Europe we will be leaving sometime between the weeks of February 18-March 10. I'm hoping for the end of February!!
So keep all of your fingers and toes crossed for us!!

Latest Update
We got an update today and Marley has gained a much needed 2 pounds!! He's also grown .5 centimeters and we got a new picture! As soon as I can figure out how to upload it, I will!!

The Best Christmas EVER!!!!
So as I beleive everyone now knows...we received our referral for the most beautiful boy in the ENTIRE world! The call came from our social worker literally 30 seconds after I posted on the CHS blog about feeling like our referral would never come! Then the phone rang, the double ring which lets me know it is off campus, and I knew it would be Jan! Sure enough it was!
I ran up to Mike's office and we closed the door, gave each other a big hug and a "This is the one, this is it" and called Jan back. All of his referral information was wonderful and as soon as we opened the attachment with his picture we shrieked with excitement and tears...OK, I did the shrieking and crying, Mike just sat there with his cardborad cut out, award winning smile! We were both so delighted and excited!
We had our faculty Christmas party that evening and Mike wanted to keep the referral on the DL, which is cute for him to actually think I would have been able to keep my mouth shut until the next day! I took his picture with us to dinner and he sat there on the table, next to the salt and pepper shakers, and we had our first meal together!
The next day, Friday (the last day of school before winter break) I left during 3rd and 4th period so I could make copies of his picture to give to the grandparents, Teta and Mike for his office...I had already printed out about 23 color copies which are sitting in frames on my desk and night stand!!
Needless to say we had a wonderful Christmas, and as you can tell by the photo, he was included in all of the festivities!!
